Lighting the ground is useful. Lighting what stands above it is what makes a property look designed. Trees, palms, hedges, stone walls, and planting beds give the eye something to land on beyond the house itself.
Beam spread, distance, and aim all change the result. A narrow beam far from the trunk reads as elegant; the same fixture too close reads as a spotlight.

The Part Nobody Sees Is the Part That Fails First
Undersized transformers, buried wire nuts, and voltage drop at the end of a long run are the reasons older systems dim, flicker, and die one zone at a time. We size the transformer for the load, split the property into zones, and use connections that can be opened and serviced later.
